Kymata

Kymata follows the movement of water: bands that turn, lines of gold that rise and fall, and surfaces polished where the sea would wear them smooth.

Named after the Greek word for waves, Kymata is built around movement. Spinning bands, flowing lines of 18K gold and softly hammered silver catch the light the way the Aegean does in the last hour of the day.

Each piece is cast in 925 sterling silver and finished by hand, with 18K gold inlays set in the studio. Spinner rings are balanced so the outer bands move freely against the inner ring, a detail that makes them as much an object to hold as to wear. Surfaces alternate between mirror polish and fine hammering, so no two pieces reflect light the same way.
