K.AND. Jewelry begins with Katerina Andrigiannaki and a simple idea: that a piece of jewelry should not just be worn, but answer back. Watching the rhythms of daily life, and the people who dare to be different, she imagined pieces that form a synergistic relationship with the wearer, in a game of motion and sound.
Katerina was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete, into a family already rooted in the fashion industry. She studied Hotel Management in Rethymno and in Germany, then worked as a PR Manager for hotel resorts in Crete and Austria. Jewelry found her in 2002, when she met her husband, George Vlachos, who had been running his own studio in the old town of Chania since 1994. With his encouragement, she brought forward the artistic side she had been carrying all along.
From her studio in Chania, on the ancient island of Crete, Katerina works alongside a team of local artisans who combine traditional craft with contemporary technique. Every piece is made by hand, and made to last.
K.AND. is defined by movement, minimalism and an intense artistic sensibility. Raw, unpolished elements are set against sleek geometry and moving components, while heavily textured metal finishes transform 925 sterling silver and 14K or 18K gold into surfaces that look beautifully eroded by nature and time. From wide-band statement rings and cuffs to alternative wedding bands, the collections are made for people who want jewelry with a fierce identity of its own.
925 sterling silver, 14K and 18K gold, diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones.
K.AND. is available in selected stores in Greece, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, Lebanon and the USA, and has been shown in exhibitions, shops and galleries across Europe and the United States.
