Monolith

Monolith takes its cues from brutalist architecture: heavy volumes, repeated geometry and the honesty of raw material, softened by hand-finished edges.

Monolith is the most architectural of the K.AND. collections. Pyramids, braids and straight cuts are stacked into wide bands and solid links that feel substantial on the hand and the wrist.

The pieces are modelled in wax and cast in 925 sterling silver, then oxidised to darken the recesses and polished on the high points so the geometry reads clearly. Details such as the braided band and studded surfaces are worked by hand after casting, keeping the lines crisp while leaving traces of the maker.
